Course overview
Role & Purpose of a PAC Ministry worker: 
The role of a PAC ministry worker to support someone who has responded to the altar call by standing alongside them.  To minister to them through prayer, briefly speaking to them, and signposting them to further help and assistance, if necessary. 
The purpose of this course is to prepare workers to be an effective PAC worker and to work effectively in this ministry as part of a PAC Ministry team.  


Purpose of the PAC Ministry Team
-To release and facilitate God’s love.
-Healing and empowerment to those who indicate a desire for prayer.

-To strengthen, encourage and comfort individuals as they seek to move forward in their spiritual walk.

AFTER COMPLETING THIS COURSE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND:

• What is effective Prayer when involved in Altar ministry
• What are the requirements and disciplines for effective PAC ministry
• The different components of Prayer, Altar ministry and Counselling
• See Scriptures related to PAC ministry
• Types of Altar ministry
• Personal characteristics and the call to PAC ministry
• How to minister at the Altar

Learning Outcomes:
• Explore the Bible and study of Biblical truths in the context of PAC
• Examine how to minister effectively in this area of PAC Ministry
• Understand one’s personal giftings and development areas of altar ministry
• Discuss the relevance of scripture within the PAC Ministry
• Seek to understand the importance of effective service and ministry in context through the word of God, and to equip and empower individual towards living effective Christian lives.

Target Audience:
All volunteers who work in altar ministry at their local, district, regional and national churches and convention events.

LAUREL WOODSTOCK
RGN, PGCERT, PH, BSc, NS, DIPHE ED, NS, DPS, CC

Laurel is a conscientious, innovative, highly motivated Registered Nurse, a Pastor, and an Ecumenical Chaplain within the NHS. Awarded a Post Graduate certificate in Public Health. She is also the Founder/project manager for Bread for Life Community-based Health Project.
Laurel had coordinated and hosted various virtual Health Promotion seminars during the covid-19 pandemic. Her passion is to keep the public abreast of health issues and services available to
support them. Above all she is an Ambassador for Christ, promoting the message of hope, a wife, a mother and a grandmother.
